Technician – Assembler (2‑Year Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a Technician – Assembler to build, repair and test complex electro‑mechanical equipment used in advanced manufacturing environments such as semiconductor or display production. The role is hands‑on, requires precision assembly, troubleshooting and the ability to work independently in a cleanroom setting.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, repair and test electrical systems, electro‑mechanical assemblies, vacuum and pneumatic components using work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams and parts lists.
• Perform a wide variety of assembly operations, troubleshooting and equipment repairs.
• Inspect, audit and verify incoming parts, identify defects and ensure build readiness.
• Use test fixtures, electronic measurement instruments, leak detectors and vacuum pumps to validate system performance.
• Accurately complete job documentation, including labor tracking and progress updates.
• Support basic programming, software installation or system configuration when required.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and act as an informal resource for junior technicians.

Required profile

• NITEC or Diploma in a technical or engineering‑related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in semiconductor, display manufacturing or a similar high‑tech environment.
• Completion of relevant technical training or certifications.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, climb ladders and lift components in a cleanroom environment while wearing PPE.
