Counsel, Stablecoin Regulatory

About the role

Tyme is looking for a senior lawyer to shape and lead its stablecoin regulatory strategy across multiple jurisdictions. The role combines deep legal expertise in crypto and stablecoins with commercial judgment to navigate emerging market requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead legal and regulatory analysis for stablecoin initiatives globally, focusing on emerging markets, the Middle East and Europe.
• Evaluate jurisdictions for issuance, custody, payments integration, reserve management, licensing, AML/CFT, sanctions, data protection and consumer protection.
• Identify regulatory arbitrage opportunities and advise on optimal structuring and licensing strategies.
• Engage directly with regulators, central banks and financial intelligence units to clarify Tyme’s strategy and support licensing processes.
• Develop jurisdiction‑by‑jurisdiction playbooks covering market entry, permissible structures, partner models and ongoing compliance.
• Collaborate with product, compliance, risk, treasury, engineering and data‑science teams to translate regulatory requirements into product design.
• Design and launch an AI‑enabled regulatory intelligence platform to track and interpret real‑time regulatory developments.

Required profile

• Extensive experience evaluating crypto and stablecoin regulatory frameworks.
• Proven track record of engaging with regulators and securing licensing approvals.
• Strong commercial judgment, especially in emerging markets.
• Deep knowledge of Europe’s MiCA regime, UAE/Middle East regulations and global AML/CFT standards.
