Data Center Operations Technician

About the role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Operations Technician to join its Infrastructure Operations team. You will work on‑site in a high‑density data center, ensuring the hardware lifecycle, safety, and reliability of the infrastructure that powers AWS services worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Install and de‑install server racks and associated hardware.
• Perform hardware break‑fix on servers, storage, networking, power and cooling components.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and resolve emergent incidents affecting operational stability.
• Manage and resolve assigned trouble tickets within defined SLAs.
• Participate in on‑call rotations, scheduled maintenance, and change‑management activities.
• Document technical issues, conduct root‑cause analysis, and contribute to process‑improvement initiatives.
• Attend team meetings to review metrics and align on daily/weekly goals.

Required profile

• Experience working in a data‑center or similar high‑availability environment.
• Ability to follow safety and security procedures and apply them consistently.
• Strong attention to detail and capability to work under pressure.
• Willingness to work on‑call and handle emergency situations.
