Data Center Operations Technician

About the role

Amazon Web Services is seeking a Data Center Operations Technician to join its Infrastructure Operations team in Singapore. You will work on‑site in a high‑density data centre, ensuring the hardware lifecycle and overall stability of the cloud infrastructure that powers millions of customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Install and configure server racks and related hardware components.
• Perform break‑fix activities on servers, storage, networking and power equipment.
• Troubleshoot network and hardware issues, responding to emergent incidents that affect operational stability.
• Handle on‑call duties, scheduled maintenance, and change‑management activities.
• Process and resolve trouble tickets within defined SLAs.
• Participate in team meetings to analyse metrics and achieve daily/weekly goals.
• Document technical issues and conduct root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• Experience working in a data‑center or similar technical environment.
• Understanding of safety and security procedures for hardware handling.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary operations team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to meeting service level agreements.
