Principal Pharmacist, Clinical

About the role

The new Tengah General and Community Hospital (TGCH) is building a state‑of‑the‑art clinical pharmacy service. As Principal Pharmacist, Clinical you will lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of pharmacy‑clinical programs that support patient care across the campus.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct needs assessments to define scope and priorities for clinical pharmacy services.
• Develop and execute implementation plans, standardized workflows and protocols.
• Define KPIs to monitor effectiveness and impact of services.
• Identify staffing requirements and collaborate with clinicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals for seamless service rollout.
• Oversee pharmacist development through structured training, competency assessments and career‑progression pathways.
• Establish a competency framework and organize regular case discussions, journal clubs and other CPD activities.
• Develop workforce succession plans to ensure adequate staffing across all services.
• Collaborate with operational pharmacy leaders to integrate clinical and operational workflows.
• Provide clinical input for formulary development and promote cost‑effective prescribing without compromising outcomes.
• Deliver regular feedback to team members to foster professional growth and job satisfaction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Team‑player attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt.
• Passion for continuous learning and self‑directed development.
