Retail Accounting Analyst – Southeast Asia & ANZ

About the role

The Retail Accounting Analyst will support controlling and accounting activities across the Southeast Asia (SEA) and Australia‑New Zealand (ANZ) region for Tapestry’s global house of brands. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and efficient month‑end close while driving process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day retail accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance.
• Own key components of the monthly close process, including journal entries, balance‑sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Maintain balance‑sheet reconciliation schedules and ensure timely submission.
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors and support statutory audits.
• Identify and implement AI‑enabled and automation opportunities to improve efficiency.
• Contribute to regional control, compliance and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with regional controlling and accounting teams, providing cross‑coverage during peak periods.
• Execute SOX‑related internal control processes and documentation.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• 2–3 years of experience in an accounting or finance function, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on accuracy and compliance.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Working knowledge of SAP.
