Senior Designer – Customs eServices

About the role

GovTech is seeking a Senior Designer to lead the design of end‑to‑end digital services for the Customs eServices (CES) portfolio. You will shape the user experience for Singapore’s trading community while building a robust design system that aligns with Government Digital Service Standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Customs Design System, ensuring UI/UX consistency across all CES applications.
• Conduct market research, hypothesis validation, and user‑journey mapping workshops.
• Plan and execute user research activities such as interviews, surveys, usability testing, and workshops.
• Create user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes to validate concepts with business and technical stakeholders.
• Collaborate with eService owners, contractors, and development teams to optimise services and business processes.
• Produce and maintain design standards, guidelines, templates, component libraries, and comprehensive documentation.
• Publish design packages on developer portals and support ongoing product development and operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in end‑to‑end digital product design, preferably in a public‑sector or large‑scale environment.
• Strong ability to work cross‑functionally with product managers, engineers, analysts and external contractors.
• Familiarity with government digital service standards and design system governance.
• Excellent communication skills to lead workshops and present design decisions.
