Senior Designer – Ministry of Transport (MOT)

About the role

GovTech is seeking a Senior Designer to lead end‑to‑end user experiences for digital products serving Singapore’s Ministry of Transport and, potentially, the Public Transport Council. You will shape problem framing, user journeys, and design direction from discovery through delivery, ensuring alignment with Government Digital Service Standards.

Key responsibilities

• Own the design of employer‑facing workflows, internal operational processes, and platform constraints within a regulated environment.
• Define problem statements, map user journeys, and create high‑fidelity prototypes.
• Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers in a cross‑functional team.
• Develop and evolve design patterns and standards for government digital services.
• Provide mentorship to junior designers and contribute to design community practices.

Required profile

• Significant experience designing complex digital products, preferably in the public sector.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating end‑to‑end design ownership.
• Ability to work autonomously while partnering with product and engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions to stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency in user‑experience design methodologies.
• Familiarity with design systems and government digital service standards.
