Senior Horticulture Manager – Landscape & Planting Projects

About the role

Gardens by the Bay is seeking a Senior Manager to lead landscape and planting activities for the Bay East Project, centred on the Founders' Memorial. You will be responsible for planning, designing, and executing horticultural works from concept through construction and into operational management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate landscape and planting works during the construction phase, ensuring alignment with the overall project programme.
• Manage variation orders, progress claims and contract administration for landscape packages in close collaboration with Procurement and Quantity Surveyor teams.
• Oversee all arboriculture and horticultural works across the site, guaranteeing safe, efficient and high‑quality execution.
• Collaborate with consultants and stakeholders to review, implement and enhance the planting palette across all garden zones.
• Supervise landscape contractors on‑site, monitoring work quality, progress and adherence to specifications.

Required profile

• Degree in Landscape, Horticulture or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in landscape, horticulture or arboriculture project management.
• Strong knowledge of tropical plants with hands‑on experience in tree works, transplanting, shrub planting, soil management, pest and disease control, and establishment care.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced project environment and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• ISA Certified Arborist (preferred).
• Certified Practising Horticulturist (preferred).
• Competence in site documentation, defect tracking and reporting.
