Accountant

About the role

The Accountant joins BCD Meetings & Events' APAC finance team on an outsourced basis, handling the full set of accounts for the Singapore entity. This role covers Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, and General Ledger functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with local GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Project reconciliation: match transactions across systems, liaise with vendors, customers, and credit‑card companies, and verify all items before final billing.
• Month‑end closing: manage the complete spectrum of accounts, prepare journal entries in line with local GAAP, and ensure supporting documentation.
• Reporting: deliver timely month‑end reports, profit & loss statements, balance‑sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis; prepare annual budgets, re‑forecasts, and quarterly tax packages.
• Bank responsibilities: post customer payments, follow up on AR collections, resolve unallocated cash, and produce weekly cash‑flow forecasts for Global Treasury.
• Billing: generate and review invoices, coordinate with operations on billing and payment matters.

Required profile

• Proven experience in full‑cycle accounting, including AR, AP, GL, and fixed‑asset management.
• Strong knowledge of local GAAP and ability to prepare compliant journal entries.
• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on accurate month‑end closing and reporting.
• Effective communication with internal teams, vendors, and customers to resolve discrepancies.
