Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an Accountant to join our APAC Accounting organization. The role will support month‑end close, financial statement preparation, statutory audit coordination and compliance with local and corporate accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare month‑end journals, reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Manage accounting operations to deliver timely monthly financial statements.
• Coordinate with third‑party bookkeeping partners for reporting.
• Support local statutory audit, interface with external and internal auditors and provide required documentation.
• Ensure compliance with local GAAP/FRS and US GAAP, including Sarbanes‑Oxley controls.
• Prepare quarterly GST/VAT returns and handle AP, AR and PO activities.
• Liaise with Operations, Portfolio/Asset Management, Tax and Treasury on agreements, funding and tax matters.
• Assist with ad‑hoc projects, system implementations and process improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance with ACCA, CA or CPA membership (or working towards qualification).
• 2–3 years of experience, preferably with a mix of audit and regional exposure.
• Strong knowledge of APAC accounting standards and corporate accounting policies.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• High attention to detail and strong business judgement.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Yardi accounting software.
• Proficiency with Oracle accounting systems.
• Advanced Excel skills.
