Expeditor / Buyer – Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Expeditor / Buyer will manage end‑to‑end procurement activities for material and equipment required on oil and gas projects. You will ensure that all purchases align with project specifications, schedules, and quality standards, supporting seamless project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Procure materials and equipment according to project specifications and timelines.
• Issue accurate purchase orders covering technical and commercial requirements.
• Follow up with suppliers on order status, production progress, and delivery schedules.
• Track and expedite orders to meet project milestones.
• Coordinate documentation with suppliers and internal teams (drawings, datasheets, inspection reports, shipping documents).
• Monitor supplier performance, identify risks, and manage non‑conformity reports (NCRs).
• Support supplier audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Liaise with QA/QC, engineering, logistics, and project teams for alignment.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and update tracking systems.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
• 3–5 years of procurement, expediting or supply‑chain experience in oil & gas or a related industry.
• Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management and expediting practices.
• Familiarity with technical documentation and quality standards for oil & gas projects.
• Experience handling non‑conformance issues and supplier performance management.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple orders/projects simultaneously.
