Financial Controller (Shared Services Management Experience Required)

About the role

We are seeking a senior finance professional to lead group reporting, controllership, compliance and governance across multiple entities of a global technology platform. The role will partner closely with a sizeable shared services finance team based in India and support regional growth and transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Review and sign off monthly management accounts for the Group and multiple legal entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors during statutory and consolidated audits.
• Oversee balance‑sheet reconciliations, including AR/AP, accruals, provisions, reserves and inter‑company balances.
• Manage technical accounting matters such as revenue recognition, ESOP accounting and capitalisation policies.
• Drive finance process improvements, governance initiatives and internal control enhancements.
• Review corporate income tax filings across jurisdictions and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain the Group’s transfer pricing framework, inter‑company allocations and annual documentation.
• Supervise GST/VAT, withholding tax filings and coordinate regulatory reporting.
• Oversee corporate insurance coverage and monitor changes in accounting and tax regulations.
• Support corporate secretarial documentation, statutory filings, board documentation and governance matters.
• Assist with fundraising, investor due diligence and corporate documentation.
• Partner with legal, compliance and operational teams on expansion, licensing and market entry activities.
• Provide commercial finance support, budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial planning.
• Lead and engage a sizeable shared services finance team in India, including quarterly travel.

Required profile

• Degree in Accountancy with professional qualification (CA, CPA or ACCA).
• 10+ years of finance and controllership experience, preferably with Big 4 training and commercial industry exposure.
• Demonstrated experience managing or partnering with shared services finance teams.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, tax compliance, transfer pricing and corporate governance.
