General Ledger Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a General Ledger Accountant to manage month‑end and year‑end closing, ensure statutory compliance and support financial reporting for a fast‑growing company operating in the gaming and high‑tech sector.

Key responsibilities

• Perform month‑end and year‑end closing for management reporting and statutory compliance under SFRS.
• Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet and detailed schedules with transaction‑level analysis.
• Post closing journal entries, including accruals, pre‑payments, FX revaluation and provisions.
• Execute bank reconciliations across multiple currencies and entities.
• Reconcile intercompany transactions and follow up on unmatched items with regional teams.
• Assist in quarterly GST returns, annual corporate income tax filing and related schedules.
• Prepare audit schedules and liaise with external auditors, tax agents and corporate secretaries.
• Support finance automation initiatives, review reconciliation logic and identify AI or scripting opportunities to reduce manual effort.
• Carry out ad‑hoc duties as required.

Required profile

• Degree in Accountancy, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 2 years of full‑set accounting experience, preferably in gaming, internet or high‑tech industries.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore GST, corporate tax and SFRS.
• Excellent analytical ability, attention to detail and ownership mindset.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, cross‑border environment.
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin.
• Willingness to work onsite full‑time.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, lookups, large‑dataset handling).
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as NetSuite, SAP or Oracle.
• SQL for querying transaction‑level data (or willingness to learn).
• Familiarity with AI/automation tools, e.g., Python, Power Query, Airflow or RPA.
