Lecturer – Diploma in Psychology Studies

About the role

The Diploma in Psychology Studies is seeking a qualified and motivated Lecturer to teach both polytechnic students and adult learners. The role combines curriculum design, classroom delivery, student mentorship, and applied research to ensure industry‑relevant learning experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and tutorials to full‑time diploma students and adult learners in psychology‑related subjects.
• Design and develop curriculum, learning materials, and assessments for face‑to‑face, online, and blended formats.
• Supervise student projects, internships, and applied learning experiences.
• Provide academic advising, career guidance, and pastoral support.
• Engage in applied or academic research and collaborate on industry projects.
• Work with industry and community partners to keep the curriculum current.
• Participate in departmental committees, outreach events, and other institutional initiatives.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology or a related field.
• Preferably 2–3 years of industry experience applying psychological knowledge.
• Strong interest in teaching diverse learner groups.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams.
• Professionalism, adaptability, and commitment to continuous learning.
