Lecturer/Senior Lecturer – AI-Augmented Product Architecture

About the role

Nanyang Polytechnic is looking for a dynamic Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to lead teaching and research in AI‑Augmented Product Architecture within its School of Engineering. The role combines classroom delivery, curriculum innovation, industry partnership and applied research to prepare students for emerging Edge AI and IoT domains.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials and labs for full‑time Diploma (PET) and adult upskilling (CET) programmes, using project‑based, flipped and blended learning approaches.
• Supervise final‑year projects, capstone assignments and internships focused on Edge AI, IoT systems and distributed architectures.
• Design, review and update modules, assessment rubrics and hands‑on lab exercises that embed AI model optimisation, edge analytics and hardware acceleration.
• Develop industry‑relevant case studies and establish partnerships with Edge AI, IoT and smart infrastructure firms.
• Contribute to applied R&D, translating real‑world deployments such as edge inference and smart monitoring into teaching material.
• Perform academic administration duties, including assessment tracking and quality assurance.

Required profile

• Degree or postgraduate qualification in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in software development, AI application development or product engineering.
• Demonstrated proficiency in at least two of the following areas: low‑code/no‑code AI‑assisted development, agentic AI and workflow orchestration, LLM deployment on cloud or edge, cross‑platform application development.
