Senior Designer

About the role

The Great Room (TGR) is seeking a Senior Designer to lead and deliver its design vision across multiple APAC projects, from concept through construction and launch. Based in Singapore, you will work closely with internal teams and external consultants to create cohesive, experience‑led spaces that reflect TGR’s brand and hospitality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design of multiple projects, overseeing concept development, documentation, construction, and launch.
• Define and steward design vision, ensuring alignment with brand, operational requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Select and specify finishes, furniture, artwork, accessories, and greenery.
• Collaborate with Construction, Project Management, Real Estate, Operations, and Facilities teams to ensure feasibility, buildability, and cost efficiency.
• Review and sign off consultant deliverables, maintaining design intent and quality.
• Mentor junior designers, provide feedback, and support professional growth.
• Establish consistent design processes, templates, and review milestones.
• Partner with finance and pre‑construction teams to manage budgets and design‑to‑budget strategies.

Required profile

• Senior‑level designer with proven experience leading end‑to‑end design projects.
• Strong project leadership, cost and schedule awareness.
• Ability to work across cross‑functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Experience mentoring junior designers and contributing to design standards.
