Associate / Senior Associate – Strategic Initiatives

About the role

Temasek’s Strategic Initiatives team is looking for an Associate or Senior Associate to support the identification, evaluation and execution of strategic investments, partnerships and joint ventures that enhance the firm’s franchise value. The role will work across Temasek’s global investment, Singapore and partnership solutions teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support workstreams covering investments, new strategies, growth areas and strategic value‑creation opportunities.
• Coordinate project teams that span multiple functional groups and stakeholder groups.
• Conduct deal evaluation, due diligence, industry and company analysis, and assist with legal documentation and negotiation.
• Lead and anchor financial modelling and related analytical work.
• Prepare investment memoranda, recommendations and insights for senior management and investment committee discussions.
• Assist post‑investment portfolio management, including performance monitoring, value‑creation initiatives and cross‑portfolio collaboration.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in top‑tier private equity, investment banking, corporate finance or M&A.
• Strong transaction management capability and intellectual capacity.
• Self‑starter with good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
