About the role
We are seeking a motivated Cook II to join our Waterfall kitchen team at Shangri‑La Singapore. The role focuses on preparing high‑quality Italian and Mediterranean dishes for our guests while supporting smooth kitchen operations.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and cooking Italian and Mediterranean dishes such as pasta, seafood, salads and grilled items, following established recipes and presentation standards.
- Support daily mise en place and set‑up for lunch and dinner service, ensuring all stations are stocked and organized.
- Maintain hygiene, cleanliness and food‑safety standards at the workstation.
- Work closely with the Chef de Partie and kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
- Control portion sizes and minimise food waste.
- Assist with receiving deliveries and storing ingredients correctly.
Required profile
- 1–2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably handling Italian, Mediterranean or Western cuisine.
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and present dishes consistently.
- Strong attention to hygiene and food‑safety practices.
- Team‑oriented attitude and willingness to support senior chefs.
