DevOps Engineer – CI/CD & Azure Migration

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who is passionate about modernising legacy CI/CD systems and driving large‑scale Azure migration programmes. You will play a pivotal role in transforming on‑prem pipelines into cloud‑native, automated, and scalable delivery flows.

Key responsibilities

• Lead migration of CI/CD pipelines from Jenkins and self‑managed GitLab runners to Azure DevOps Pipelines and GitLab Cloud (SaaS) with managed runners.
• Redesign pipelines for scalability, reliability and maintainability.
• Support lift‑and‑shift migration of applications to Azure, ensuring pipelines align with migrated workloads.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (Repos, Pipelines, Artifacts) and GitLab CI/CD (cloud‑hosted).
• Configure and optimise managed runners and integrate tools such as SonarQube, Nexus/Artifactory and security scanners.
• Develop infrastructure as code with Terraform, ARM templates and Bicep, automating environment provisioning.
• Create automation scripts in Bash, PowerShell and Python to eliminate manual processes.
• Set up monitoring and logging with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and Application Insights, including alerts and dashboards.
• Embed DevSecOps practices, manage secrets with Azure Key Vault and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Collaborate with developers, architects and operations teams, providing guidance on best‑practice DevOps.

Required profile

• Strong experience migrating CI/CD pipelines from on‑prem to Azure‑native platforms.
• Hands‑on expertise with Azure services such as App Services, AKS and Virtual Machines.
• Proven ability to design and optimise automated deployment pipelines.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
