Head of Cybersecurity and Technology Risk

About the role

Our client, a leading organisation operating in a regulated environment, is seeking a senior leader to head its enterprise‑wide cybersecurity and technology risk function. The role will shape strategy, drive resilience, and protect critical systems against an evolving threat landscape while reporting to senior executives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive technology risk, cybersecurity and operational resilience strategies, policies and frameworks.
• Oversee risk monitoring, threat intelligence and early‑warning mechanisms across emerging technologies and vulnerabilities.
• Provide governance for technology risk, cybersecurity and business continuity across critical systems and capabilities.
• Lead incident response, crisis management and post‑incident reviews for significant cyber and technology events.
• Represent the organisation in industry forums, build external partnerships and promote ecosystem resilience.
• Advise senior leadership on cyber posture, risk exposure and control effectiveness in line with regulatory expectations.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, Finance or related discipline.
• Extensive senior‑level experience managing technology risk and cybersecurity in large, complex organisations.
• Proven track record in regulated environments, preferably within financial services.
• Strong leadership experience with multidisciplinary teams and enterprise‑wide initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Required skills

• CISSP certification (or equivalent).
• CISM certification (or equivalent).
• CISA certification (or equivalent).
• Deep knowledge of cloud security concepts.
• Understanding of AI‑related risk considerations.
