Head of Regional Logistics, APAC

About the role

Harting is seeking a Head of Regional Logistics for the APAC region. The role leads the strategic direction, management and development of all logistics activities across the region, ensuring efficient, cost‑optimized and sustainable processes while representing the function internally and externally.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute logistics strategies to maximise efficiency, capacity and resource utilisation, leveraging technology and continuous improvement.
• Develop cost‑effective logistics policies, outsourcing guidelines and risk‑mitigation measures covering customs and export control.
• Monitor performance of logistics operations and external service providers, identifying weaknesses and driving optimisation.
• Ensure compliance with regional and local regulations, including customs and trade rules.
• Collaborate with Sales, SCM, Production and Legal to align logistics services with customer expectations and internal requirements.
• Lead, coach and develop the regional logistics team, including direct management of assigned managers.
• Oversee major projects focused on process optimisation and digitalisation.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners and service providers.

Required profile

• University degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a comparable field.
• Significant experience in logistics management within a multinational or highly matrixed environment.
• Proven track record of leading large teams and delivering cost‑efficient logistics solutions.
• Strong understanding of customs, trade regulations and supply‑chain risk management.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
