Junior Deskside Support

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Deskside Support professional to join our IT team. You will provide hands‑on assistance to end‑users across a range of devices and help maintain our technology environment. This is an entry‑level position with comprehensive training provided.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues on Windows laptops/desktops, Android, iPhone and Mac devices.
• Provide basic hardware support for Dell, HP and Lenovo PCs and laptops.
• Support printer hardware and managed print services.
• Perform software imaging, hard‑drive wiping and restoration.
• Install, decommission and track IT equipment (IMACD activities).
• Assist users with data backup, restoration and Wi‑Fi setup.
• Log, categorize and prioritize tickets in the internal ticketing system.
• Maintain accurate IT asset records and conduct monthly verification.
• Participate in IT projects such as PC refreshes, OS upgrades and large‑scale device deployments.
• Provide onsite support for network and server teams, including basic Cisco router/switch tasks and cable identification.
• Support meeting‑room AV equipment and conference‑room technologies.
• Offer VIP and executive support when required and be on‑call on a rotational basis.

Required profile

• Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong interest in IT support, hardware and troubleshooting.
• Excellent customer service attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to multitask and work under time‑sensitive situations.
• Good communication skills for interacting with staff at all levels.

Required skills

• Windows 10/11 operating system.
• Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Basic networking fundamentals (LAN, Wi‑Fi).
• Mobile operating systems: Android and iOS.
• Hardware troubleshooting for Dell, HP and Lenovo PCs.
• Printer support and managed print services.
• Basic knowledge of Cisco routers and switches.
• Understanding of UTP and fiber cabling.
• Imaging and hard‑drive wiping/restoration tools.
