Linen Attendant – Hotel Housekeeping

About the role

The Linen Attendant ensures that all hotel uniforms and linens are clean, well‑maintained, and readily available for staff and guests. Working within the housekeeping department of a luxury hotel, you will manage the distribution, inspection, and inventory of garments and linens in accordance with company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Issue and receive uniforms and towels to hotel associates, recording each transaction in the logbook.
• Inspect garments for damage, remove substandard items from circulation, and arrange replacements.
• Conduct regular inventory counts, report discrepancies, and control loss or damage.
• Provide shoe‑polishing services on request and assist the seamstress with minor repairs.
• Fold, pack, and deliver house linens to floor pantries.
• Fit and size uniforms for new associates as directed by Human Resources.
• Attend to guest requests for loan items or clothing repairs.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by senior housekeeping staff.

Required profile

• Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level or N Level qualification.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Previous experience in a uniform or linen room is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of garment care.

Required skills

• Familiarity with inventory management systems.
