Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Vopak is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to support the maintenance organisation in developing and executing a 3‑Year Maintenance Plan (3YMP). You will translate the plan into a robust Preventive Maintenance (PM) program and manage sustaining, service and growth Capex projects to keep the terminal operating at its best.

Key responsibilities

• Develop the 3‑year maintenance plan in collaboration with the Maintenance Manager and supervisors.
• Design and maintain a preventive maintenance program based on risk assessments, asset criticality, regulatory requirements and Vopak standards.
• Plan and execute sustaining and service/growth Capex projects.
• Drive maintenance optimisation, continuous improvement and root‑cause failure analysis (RCFA).
• Troubleshoot technical problems, equipment and system failures, and develop improvement plans.
• Manage asset lifecycle, define work‑order frequencies, default activities, tools and cost estimates.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or related field.
• Familiarity with industrial standards such as API and ASME; knowledge of API 653 and/or API 570 is a plus.
• Strong data‑analysis capability and ability to turn findings into improvement opportunities.
• Good understanding of safety, health, environment regulations and terminal operations.
