Part‑Time Project Officer – AI Assessment Initiative

About the role

The National Institute of Education (NIE) seeks a part‑time Project Officer to support a nine‑month AI‑driven assessment project within the Natural Sciences and Science Education Department. The role is half‑time (21 hours per week) and focuses on coordinating project activities, managing data, and contributing to the development of AI‑enabled learning tools.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative and operational support to the Principal Investigator, including timeline coordination, documentation, reporting and stakeholder liaison.
• Assist in the design, configuration, testing and refinement of the AI Assessment Evaluator, emphasizing prompt design, learner‑profile alignment and quality assurance.
• Document and synthesize guidelines for prompt writing and knowledge‑base specification to enable transferability across subjects.
• Oversee data management processes: organise, anonymise and securely store student artefacts, reflections and evaluation data in line with NIE policies.
• Coordinate collection of artefacts and reflections for formative evaluation of the C3R learning model.
• Support analysis of evaluation data focusing on assessment literacy, learner engagement and tool usability.
• Contribute to project deliverables such as implementation guides, documentation of the AI tool and the final evaluation report.
• Perform other project‑related duties as required.

Required profile

• A university degree, preferably in Education, Learning Sciences, Psychology, Computer Science, Data Science, Communication or a related field.
• Strong organisational and project coordination abilities with capacity to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
