Pharmacy Technician / Assistant (Full‑Time)

About the role

The Pharmacy Technician / Assistant will work under the supervision of pharmacists at NUH to ensure safe, efficient and timely distribution of medicines. The role supports senior pharmacists in supervising support staff and coordinating workflow across the pharmacy section.

Key responsibilities

• Process medication orders, pick and pack medicines, and perform medication reconciliation following SOPs.
• Manage deblistering and unit‑dose repackaging systems (IPAS, OPAS, ATDPS) and oversee automated dispensing cabinet setup.
• Maintain active security systems, safeguard stock, premises and information.
• Stock medicines using FIFO principles, verify goods receipt, conduct cycle counts and manage pre‑packing systems.
• For technicians: process nurse requests, dispense medications, provide bedside counselling, assist with pharmacy sales under supervision, and conduct dispensing audits.
• Deliver courteous, professional service to patients and customers.

Required profile

• Entry‑level Diploma in Pharmaceutical Science or Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPTC) or a foreign pharmacy degree.
• Basic dispensary skills for technicians; diploma graduate with 3 years pharmacy‑related experience in Singapore preferred for assistants.
• Ability to work independently, strong organisational skills and effective communication.
