About the role
The Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) seeks a Research Fellow to lead a project developing system‑level validation technologies for autonomous vehicle (AV) behaviour. The role involves managing technical work, coordinating stakeholders, and delivering research outcomes that address safety gaps in AV deployment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage technical aspects of the project and ensure timely delivery of deliverables.
- Align stakeholder expectations and communicate progress.
- Validate project goals against existing technical standards, identify gaps, and propose research activities.
- Conduct analysis, laboratory, and field testing on sensors and sensor systems.
- Organise meetings and intermediate technical progress reviews.
- Present findings to partners and report on research progress.
Required profile
- Holder of an engineering PhD, preferably in science, engineering, complex systems or control.
- Strong analytical skills with a good understanding of sensors, vehicle systems and driving behaviours.
- Knowledge of safety challenges associated with autonomous vehicle validation (preferred).
- Experience using simulation for system‑design validation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly autonomous, organised, and able to work effectively in a team.
