Technical Lead – AI & Computer Vision

About the role

Sigmawave AI is seeking a Technical Lead to drive the end‑to‑end development of Terra, its Visual Synthetic Data platform built on Unreal Engine 5. The role combines hands‑on engineering with strategic leadership, overseeing the platform, computer‑vision pipelines, and NVIDIA Cosmos initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the technical roadmap, architecture, and quality standards for Terra.
• Integrate NVIDIA Cosmos modules (Predict, Transfer, Reason) into the synthetic‑data pipeline.
• Design, train, and evaluate computer‑vision models such as YOLO, pose‑estimation, and LLM/VLM workloads.
• Architect customer‑facing deployments for security and defense clients, covering cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Establish DevOps practices including CI/CD, containerization, monitoring, and environment parity.
• Improve pipeline efficiency, remove bottlenecks, and increase throughput while maintaining quality.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate a multidisciplinary team of platform engineers, Unreal developers, and 3D artists.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading complex software projects in AI, computer vision, or synthetic‑data domains.
• Hands‑on expertise with Unreal Engine 5 and NVIDIA Cosmos world foundation models.
• Track record of delivering production‑grade computer‑vision or language models.
• Strong architectural decision‑making and ability to balance build‑vs‑buy trade‑offs.
