Accounting Teacher (A-Level & Foundation)

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Accounting Teacher to deliver IGCSE, A Level and Foundation (IY1) accounting programmes. The successful candidate will create an engaging learning environment that supports diverse student needs and promotes critical thinking.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver accounting lessons in line with the syllabus and scheme of work.
• Apply differentiated teaching strategies to cater for varied abilities and backgrounds.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom that encourages active learning.
• Prepare, administer and mark assessments, assignments and examinations.
• Monitor student progress, provide feedback and intervene when necessary.
• Serve as mentor or Form Teacher, offering academic and pastoral support.
• Communicate with parents, staff and support teams regarding student wellbeing.
• Participate in curriculum development, departmental meetings and professional development.
• Support co‑curricular activities and undertake additional duties as required.
• Achieve assigned Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Accounting (teaching qualification preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in IGCSE, A Level, Foundation or similar international curricula.
• Strong subject knowledge in accounting.
• Excellent classroom management, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self‑motivated, adaptable and a collaborative team player.
