Android Developer

About the role

Capgemini is seeking a skilled Android Developer to design, build, and maintain high‑performance mobile applications. You will work in an Agile environment, collaborating with product, UX/UI, and backend teams to deliver seamless user experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Android applications using Kotlin and/or Java.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define, implement, and ship new features.
• Ensure application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
• Identify and fix bugs, performance bottlenecks, and improve overall quality.
• Integrate RESTful APIs and third‑party libraries/services.
• Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.
• Continuously explore and adopt new technologies to improve development efficiency.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in native Android development.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin (preferred) and/or Java.
• Experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, and modern development tools.
• Solid understanding of MVVM or MVP architectural patterns.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and third‑party integrations.
• Familiarity with Jetpack components such as LiveData, ViewModel, Navigation, and Room.
• Knowledge of version control (Git); CI/CD pipelines are a plus.
• Understanding of mobile UI/UX principles and Material Design guidelines.
