Maintenance Technician – Tuas Plant

About the role

Join a leading chemical company as a Maintenance Technician at the Tuas plant, supporting 24‑hour production operations. You will ensure the reliability and safety of critical mechanical equipment while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Operate welding and cutting tools for steel fabrication projects.
• Perform periodic maintenance and repairs on gear boxes, conveyors, elevators, pumps, compressors, valves and other plant mechanical systems.
• Conduct failure analysis, identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Follow company HSE policies, maintain good housekeeping and participate in safety meetings.
• Assist in designing safety equipment, guards and appliances.
• Execute regular maintenance schedules and support ISO system duties.
• Provide on‑site support for the production plant on a 24‑hour basis.

Required profile

• NTC (Class II) Nitec certificate or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong troubleshooting ability and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of over‑hauling furnace steel conveyor belts, rotating equipment and fabrication work.
