Mechanical Fitting Technician

About the role

The Mechanical Fitting Technician will carry out mechanical fitting tasks on the shop floor, following detailed work instructions and reporting to the Operations Leader. The role involves assembling, repairing and maintaining rotating equipment such as rotors, bearings and other mechanical components.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all assigned fitting work in accordance with work instructions.
• Carry out blending and polishing repair operations.
• Dismantle equipment, inspect parts, refit components and re‑assemble rotors and related mechanical assemblies.
• Maintain product quality, ensure equipment care, meet production output targets and keep the work area tidy.
• Follow all applicable EHS rules and immediately report unsafe conditions.
• Support other areas of the operation as required.

Required profile

• NTC 3 Mechanical/Marine Fitting certification or equivalent.
• Willingness to learn on the job; candidates without prior experience will be trained.
• Commitment to safety, quality and production schedules.
