Senior Consultant – Power BI & Data Analytics

About the role

Infosys is seeking a Senior Consultant to help clients turn data into actionable insights using Power BI and related technologies. The role involves designing, building and optimizing dashboards and data models that support cloud‑based teams and external customers.

Key responsibilities

• Transform raw data into insights, predictions and recommendations that deliver clear business value.
• Design, develop and optimise Power BI dashboards and reports for monthly, ad‑hoc and strategic reporting needs.
• Build and manage Power BI Dataflows to ingest, transform and standardise data from multiple sources.
• Develop tabular and multidimensional models that align with enterprise data‑warehouse standards.
• Write complex SQL queries for data validation, reconciliation and deep analysis.
• Collaborate with back‑end data engineers and cloud teams to resolve data‑quality and performance issues.
• Optimise report performance using best practices in data modelling, DAX optimisation, incremental refresh and aggregation design.
• Provide technical advisory on Power BI development, SQL optimisation and data‑management to cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with data‑governance, security and Row‑Level Security (RLS) standards.

Required profile

• Extensive hands‑on experience developing Power BI datasets, reports and dashboards.
• Strong experience designing and maintaining Power BI Dataflows connected to SQL Server and cloud platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in data modelling, DAX and Power Query.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
