2nd Wok (Madame Fan)

About the role

Join Marriott International as a 2nd Wok, supporting the kitchen team in preparing high‑quality meals and ensuring smooth operations during busy service periods. You will work closely with the Chef and service staff to deliver exceptional food experiences for our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, substitute items, and cold dishes according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters; manage food thawing and storage.
• Maintain accurate food logs, portion control, and garnish presentation.
• Monitor food quality and quantity, informing the Chef of excess items for daily specials.
• Communicate menu specials and out‑of‑stock items to Food & Beverage service staff.
• Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and employee coaching as needed.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies; report incidents and maintenance needs.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lb, standing for extended periods, and reaching overhead.

Required profile

• Technical, trade, or vocational school education.
• Minimum three years of relevant food preparation or culinary experience.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work full‑time in an onsite kitchen environment.

Required skills
