Aircraft Maintenance License Trainee – 44‑Month Program

About the role

The Aircraft Maintenance License Trainee (AMLT) program is a 44‑month structured training pathway that leads to a CAT B License from the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS). Successful graduates become Licensed Aircraft Engineers (LAE) responsible for inspecting, repairing, modifying, and testing aircraft.

Key responsibilities

• Complete classroom lectures covering SAR 66 modules, aircraft systems, and associated skills.
• Pass CAAS examinations for the CAT B license.
• Undertake on‑the‑job practical training in base and line maintenance environments.
• Perform and certify aircraft maintenance tasks, including inspections, repairs, modifications, and functional tests.
• Commit to a minimum five‑year employment period with SIA Engineering after training.

Required profile

• Engineering degree from a recognized university or Polytechnic Diploma (Engineering) with GPA > 3.3.
• Recent graduates from polytechnics or universities are welcome.
• Strong interest in a technical aviation role.
• Positive, hardworking attitude and ability to differentiate colors for work purposes.
• Physically fit to meet the demands of aircraft maintenance.
