APAC Financial Controller – Industrial Process Automation

About the role

The APAC Financial Controller will be based in Singapore and act as a strategic partner to the Finance Director. This senior regional role oversees finance across multiple APAC markets, ensuring robust governance, insightful analysis, and consistent processes for a leading industrial process automation manufacturer.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end finance function for APAC, covering reporting, budgeting, forecasting, statutory compliance, internal controls and treasury.
• Manage and develop a multi‑country finance team in Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines, driving performance and capability.
• Oversee regional tax matters, transfer pricing documentation and compliance with local regulations.
• Provide governance on inventory valuation, costing, provisions and controls for manufacturing and distribution entities.
• Partner with the Finance Director and business stakeholders to deliver commercial insights and decision support.
• Ensure timely monthly, quarterly and annual closes in line with group standards.
• Drive process standardisation, internal‑control enhancements and ERP initiatives.
• Coordinate external audits across all APAC jurisdictions.

Required profile

• CA, CPA or ACCA qualification, or a degree in Accounting/Finance.
• Prior experience at a Big 4 audit firm.
• Proven regional finance experience in APAC, preferably with exposure to China, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines or India.
• Solid background in manufacturing, trading and distribution business models.
• Demonstrated people‑management experience leading teams across multiple countries.
