Art Director

About the role

We Are Social, a global socially‑led creative agency, is seeking an Art Director who also creates hands‑on content. You will move fluidly between big‑picture campaign concepts and fast‑turnaround social content, shaping visual direction across advertising, social and digital platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead ideation and develop fresh concepts that adapt across campaigns, platforms and touchpoints.
• Translate larger creative ideas into platform‑native assets for TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and emerging social channels.
• Create and direct short‑form video, social posts, carousels, memes, reactive content and creator‑led concepts.
• Respond quickly to cultural moments, platform trends and client opportunities.
• Bring deep understanding of internet culture, creators and social conventions to briefs.
• Own and shape visual direction, ensuring work is distinctive, cohesive and high‑quality.
• Produce sketches, storyboards, treatments, prototypes and mock‑ups to communicate ideas.
• Test and refine content using design, editing and emerging AI tools.
• Collaborate with copywriters, strategists, producers, content creators, community managers and account teams.
• Participate actively in project discussions, considering strategy, production needs, platform behaviours and client feedback.
