Associate Java Developer – Payments & Cash Management

About the role

Join Societe Generale's Global Transaction Banking team as an Associate Java Developer, focusing on payments and cash management solutions. You will work on cutting‑edge microservices that power critical banking operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Java microservices using Spring Boot.
• Build REST APIs and integrate them via messaging queues such as ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ or Kafka.
• Contribute to architecture and integration design for banking payment systems.
• Automate DevOps tasks with Python (e.g., PyInfra) and Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
• Deploy and manage services in Docker and Kubernetes environments.
• Work with PostgreSQL to ensure efficient data handling.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and provide production support, including on‑call rotation.
• Collaborate with business analysts, product owners and management, and lead code‑quality initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong Java expertise, preferably with Spring Boot.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments.
• Expertise in Git version control.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with messaging systems (ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, Kafka).
• Experience with PostgreSQL or similar RDBMS.
• Analytical mindset with a focus on delivery.
• Fluent English communication; autonomous yet a team player.
