Building Trades Worker – Expression of Interest

About the role

The Building Trades Worker supports residents by preparing apartments for move‑in, responding to service requests, and maintaining common areas. This position ensures a high‑quality living experience and upholds Cushman & Wakefield’s commitment to superior customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare market‑ready apartments, including painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, general repairs, and housekeeping.
• Respond promptly and professionally to resident service requests.
• Perform routine maintenance such as plumbing, HVAC, basic electrical, carpentry, painting, and snow removal when applicable.
• Maintain grounds, pools, hot tubs, common areas, and dog‑park amenities in clean, safe, and operational condition.
• Report maintenance concerns on vacant units, model homes, and common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Execute scheduled maintenance tasks and attend required training programs.
• Adhere to fair housing laws, safety policies, and company appearance standards.

Required profile

• Ability to read and follow policy manuals, safety rules, and technical instructions.
• Strong written communication for routine reports and correspondence.
• Problem‑solving skills for routine maintenance issues.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• High School Diploma, GED, or relevant trade/technical/vocational education.
