Business Analyst

About the role

Activate Interactive, a technology consultancy in Singapore, is hiring a Business Analyst for a 12-month fixed-term contract in the Paya Lebar Quarter, with renewal potential up to 36 months. The role covers gathering and documenting business needs, facilitating requirement discussions and supporting testing, deployment and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document business needs, current- and future-state processes, user stories, functional and non-functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Facilitate workshops and discussions with business users, product and project teams, engineers and vendors to clarify requirements and support solution design.
• Maintain requirements traceability, process flows and supporting documentation, and help with backlog refinement and sprint activities.
• Prepare test scenarios and coordinate system, integration, regression and user acceptance testing, including defect tracking and retesting.
• Support deployment, change communication, operational readiness, production issue analysis and transition to business-as-usual operations.
• Undertake handover and job-shadowing to acquire system, process and stakeholder knowledge.

Required profile

• At least 4 years of experience.
• Proven record of collecting and synthesising data to derive actionable insights.
• End-to-end experience working with a product team to build products.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to pitch ideas and influence stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Availability for planned deployments and severity incident support outside office hours, as necessary.
• Computer science or product management-related degree or diploma is a plus.
