Cloud Service Development Engineer

About the role

Razer is seeking a Cloud Service Development Engineer to design, develop, and deploy cloud‑based services and applications. The role focuses on platform customization, web application development, API creation, and integration of cloud services within a global, gamer‑centric environment.

Key responsibilities

• Customize and extend OpenStack or similar cloud platforms to meet business requirements.
• Develop custom modules, plugins, and configure platform components for performance and scalability.
• Design, develop, and test web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and back‑end frameworks such as Python, Ruby on Rails, or Node.js.
• Create and document secure, performant RESTful APIs for third‑party integration.
• Integrate cloud services with other systems, manage network connectivity, and ensure seamless data flow.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimization techniques.
• Apply security best practices, stay updated on threats, and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in cloud computing and software development.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms, especially OpenStack.
• Experience with database technologies such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Knowledge of network protocols and security concepts.
• Problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities, with the capacity to work independently or in a team.
