Demi Chef – Executive Lounge

About the role

Join the Executive Lounge team at a leading international hotel brand, delivering high‑quality dishes and exceptional service to discerning guests. As a Demi Chef you will support the Chef in preparing both hot and cold menu items while maintaining strict food safety and presentation standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, substitute items and cold foods according to recipes and presentation guidelines.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters; monitor food quality, portioning and garnish.
• Thaw frozen items, maintain food logs and ensure accurate inventory usage.
• Communicate with the Chef and service staff about specials, excess items and out‑of‑stock menu components.
• Follow all safety, security and hygiene policies; report maintenance issues and complete required training.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and uphold confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Perform physical duties such as standing for long periods, lifting up to 25 lb and reaching overhead or below the knees.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school qualification.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant culinary experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
