Digital Automation Engineer, Consumer Banking

About the role

DBS Consumer Banking Group is looking for a Senior Associate / Associate, Digital Automation Engineer to join its regional product delivery team. The team works with technology and product stakeholders to deliver digital solutions across platforms such as chatbot, Paylah!, SMS banking, wealth platform, and internet and mobile banking. The engineer converts BDD tests written in Gherkin into automated scripts across the product suite, collaborates with application teams (including under an agile model), and ensures quality products are delivered.

Key responsibilities

• Advocate a quality culture and ensure best practices are followed in cross-functional teams.
• Design, develop, execute and maintain test cases for Android and iOS apps, web browsers and REST APIs.
• Build and maintain automated test suites with Selenium (Java), Appium (Java), Playwright (Java) and Pytest (Python).
• Integrate testing into the development process and build maintainable automated checks with developers.
• Suggest improvements to testing tools, detect and report defects, use exploratory testing, and improve application quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of experience, preferably in web and mobile banking solutions.
• At least 3 years of solid coding background in Java, Objective-C, JavaScript or similar.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium (Java), Appium (Java), Playwright (Java) and Pytest (Python).
• Experience with at least one of Cucumber, Appium, Selenium, XCode UI Automation or mobile testing tools.
• Agile experience, including API testing and tools such as JIRA, Jenkins and Docker.
• Good experience writing complex SQL queries.
