Director, Customer Engineer (Services)

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a senior leader to direct all business issues across an account site, ensuring customer satisfaction, financial performance and service delivery. The role involves overseeing P&L, budget management and acting as the primary interface for operational and service commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and own site responsibility for customer satisfaction, P&L and budget management.
• Anticipate future customer needs and lead delivery of service commitments and solutions to high‑value problems.
• Maintain a skilled workforce to meet current and future service requirements and drive employee development.
• Collaborate with senior business group management to align programs, strategies and processes with business unit direction.
• Define performance metrics, report progress against goals and provide leadership on long‑term program and strategy design.

• Broad understanding of systems, theories and practices across the business.
• Strong industry and commercial awareness to drive financial and operational performance.
• Leadership experience managing managers and contributing to segment strategy.
