Director of Procurement

About the role

The Director of Procurement will lead all purchasing activities for Capella Hotel Singapore, ensuring a seamless supply chain and strict compliance with group policies. This senior position is responsible for shaping procurement strategy, managing vendor relationships, and driving cost‑effective sourcing across all hotel departments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement policies aligned with Group standards.
• Monitor market trends to forecast demand, pricing and ensure continuity of supply.
• Source, evaluate and select vendors based on quality, price, reliability and compliance.
• Negotiate contracts, service level agreements and manage supplier performance reviews.
• Control costs while maintaining quality, oversee inventory levels and conduct regular audits.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies, legal regulations and sustainability standards.
• Lead, mentor and develop the procurement team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Oversee procurement for all hotel functions including F&B, housekeeping, maintenance and IT, as well as project‑specific purchases.
• Prepare regular spend reports, analyse data, and recommend process enhancements.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• 8‑10 years of progressive experience in procurement, preferably within hospitality.
• Proven track record in strategic sourcing, contract negotiation and supplier management.
• Strong analytical abilities and experience with risk assessment and mitigation.
