Director of Sales

About the role

You will lead the sales team and ensure that the hotel’s revenue targets are met. The role involves developing and implementing sales strategies, building relationships with key clients, and overseeing the daily operations of the sales department.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the sales team in line with Hilton’s global Promise and core values.
• Develop a culture focused on Hilton values and communicate effectively across commercial and hotel departments.
• Ensure attendance at key commercial and hotel meetings.
• Recruit, select and develop the Sales and Groups team, including the Assistant Director of Sales.
• Coach ADOS to independently lead MICE, Corporate Transient, Government & Embassy, and Leisure segments.
• Support the design and execution of the hotel business strategy and revenue‑driving initiatives.
• Collaborate with commercial leadership to meet profitability, revenue, and guest‑satisfaction targets.
• Promote upselling and cross‑selling across Front Desk and F&B teams and generate additional revenue from rooms, event space, and ancillary services.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in hotel sales or comparable hospitality environment.
• Ability to develop talent, address performance challenges and implement succession plans.
• Experience in recruitment and selection of sales professionals.
• Strong communication skills within commercial and hotel functions.
• Track record of achieving revenue and profit targets across multiple market segments.
