Education Officer – PGDE/Dip Ed (No Teaching Qualification Required)

About the role

The Ministry of Education seeks enthusiastic individuals to join schools as Education Officers. This pathway allows candidates without formal teaching qualifications to enter the teaching profession through the PGDE/Dip Ed programme.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver the school curriculum across selected subjects.
• Engage students in classroom activities and foster a supportive learning environment.
• Model professional conduct and uphold school values.
• Participate in pre‑service teacher training at the National Institute of Education.

Required profile

• Strong subject content knowledge and effective communication skills.
• Good personal attributes for teaching, including moral integrity and the ability to relate to young learners.
• Physical fitness and stamina to conduct lessons safely.
• Resilience and adaptability in a classroom setting.
• One of the following qualifications: university degree, diploma, ‘A’ Level, IB diploma, or equivalent.
