Electrical Technician – Engineering

About the role

The Engineering Technician will join the facilities team in Marina Bay, Singapore, performing hands‑on electrical installation, testing and maintenance across the property. This full‑time position supports safe, reliable operation of all electrical systems and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical and electronic wiring, equipment, appliances and fixtures using hand and power tools.
• Inspect, diagnose and repair malfunctioning tools, equipment, electrical systems, apparatus and components.
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers and other components; use testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters and oscilloscopes.
• Plan layout and installation of wiring and fixtures in accordance with the National Electric Code and local regulations.
• Read and follow blueprints and schematics; respond to repair requests and perform preventative maintenance.
• Maintain maintenance inventory, requisition parts and supplies, and ensure compliance with safety and security policies.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Minimum 2 years of related electrical or facilities maintenance experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Electrical wiring and circuit‑breaker installation.
• Transformer connections and battery testing for generators and emergency lighting.
• Use of testing equipment: ohmmeter, voltmeter, oscilloscope.
• Blueprint and schematic reading.
• Knowledge of National Electric Code and local electrical codes.
• Preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
