Equipment Engineer – Wet Process

About the role

As an Equipment Engineer specializing in wet processes, you will own critical wafer‑fab equipment and drive continuous improvement projects. You will work closely with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to ensure optimal equipment performance, cost efficiency, and high yield.

Key responsibilities

• Manage new equipment start‑up, vendor liaison, and acceptance for production.
• Implement equipment improvement projects targeting maintenance cost per wafer, reliability, yield and throughput.
• Develop and maintain CM and PM procedures, troubleshooting guides, and spares inventory.
• Provide technical support and training to Assistant Maintenance Engineers and Technicians.
• Translate production and engineering requirements into maintenance tasks and monitor key manufacturing parameters.
• Generate equipment downtime Pareto reports and participate in cost‑reduction initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of experience with wet equipment such as wet‑bench modular tanks and drying mechanisms.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for cross‑functional teamwork.

Required skills

• Wet bench modular tanks and drying mechanisms.
• Reading and analyzing electrical schematics and block diagrams.
• Microsoft Office applications.
• Statistical analysis tools, FMEA and 8D problem‑solving methodologies.
• PLC programming (advantageous).
